Marshall charges likely to go away soon

The investigation into a woman’s accusation that Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall punched her in the face outside a New York City nightclub in March is expected to end this week and it is unlikely he will be charged criminally, according to an ESPNreport Monday.

ESPN, citing anonymous sources, reported that police have struggled to find evidence supporting the woman’s claims and that it’s unlikely Marshall will face any charges.

The New York City Police Department told the Tribune the matter remains under investigation and no charges have been filed. Sanford Rubenstein, the attorney for 24-year-old accuser Christen Myles said that the matter remains open in an ongoing investigation.
