Defensive tackle Amobi Okoye was brought in for a physical Saturday and parameters on a one-year contract for $700,000 plus incentives were in place, according to a source. He reportedly completed the deal but the Bears have yet to announce it one day after the Buccaneers finalized an injury settlement with him.
Okoye had arthroscopic knee surgery in June and struggled staying on the field for the Bucs. He had $700,000 guaranteed in his contract and the sides reached an agreement to reduce that figure and allow him to become a free agent.
(per twitter this deal has been confirmed, announcement from team expected in 24 hours)
